Every member of our team takes part in events from Time Trials, Road Races, Sportive rides and more.

All our riders cycle as a team, providing support and encouragement to progress your cycling
Our group club rides contain riders from all abilities, this ensures riders can support members of different riding skills, this can help inspire other riders to improve and progress. Our club rides are always rode at the slowest persons pace. No one is left behind. Our team principle will help our cyclists discover their own ability via the different training rides on offer.
ABR has a large and growing community of online cyclist with our Zwift teams.
Join our virtal worldof cycling by joining our ABR Zwift teams, we regular race and ride many events throughout the year. We have over 250 and growing members of all abilities. Plus we have a dedicated Womens cycling team
Meet ABR Cycle Club Team Officers
Richard Watson
Team Principal / Owner of ABR
Overview:
The figurehead of ABR cycle club, leading its affairs and representing the interests of its members.
- Steers the future direction of principal club matters
- Co-ordinates club business.
- Communicate with club officers and members.
- Delivers development plans and funding.
- Final say on new recruit members.
- Represent the club locally and nationally.
As team principle and directeur sportif, Richard invests his soul, energy and imagination into every cyclist that is part of his club. Trained in Sports therapy and sports performance coaching, studied at various universities. Richard has over 30 years of experience in the field of fitness, sport and injury; Richard has worked on highly successful sporting events including being head sports therapist at London 2012 Olympic games.
Richard has competed in most types of cycling disciplines along with playing football at semi-professional level. It's this combination of experience and knowledge that enables Richard to help his riders at ABR cycle team.
ABR Club Captain
Overview:
Jared is a respected role model who leads from the front and also represents the views of club members. Offers guidance and support to members and is an ambassador for the vision of the club.
- Leadership for team-mates and advice.
- Represent members towards the management .
- Ensure members’ conduct and behaviour is respectful and matches the club’s expectations.
- Help the club with training and Zwift team duties.
- Encourages participation for all members.
- Knowledgeable in the way the club runs and who everyone is.
- Dedicated to the success and growth of the club.
Apache Brave Racing Club Race Leader
Overview:
Ben is an established race cyclist, he has competed in many cycle races from road race, cycle time trials and hill climb competitions. Ben has competed at the nationals several times and reached British Cycling category 2 status as a road race cyclist. Ben has valuable experience and knowledge of racing which he is able to pass on to others. As race leader Ben is the principle rider in team events and the main voice.
